Guenes Guerle was born in Izmir( Smyrna), a city
surrounded by Roman theatres. Started his music
education playing classical guitar in 1989. Then had
the opportunity of studying in Istanbul under the
guidance of Turkey's opera pioneers Mr Aydin Gün
and Mrs. Azra Gün. After graduation, continued his
studies with Prof. Güzin Gürel.
 
The first achievement in his career was the jury
award in the international Leyla Gencer competition,
1997, which led to an invitation to Bologna teatro comunale
to cover M. Pertusi for Don Giovanni in Gatti/de Bosio production. He did attend few successful competitions including the finals of Toti dal Monte, Treviso 2003 and Hans Gabor Belvedere, Vienna 2004. 
 
Later "Giovanni" became one of his favorite roles which he played in Istanbul 2002, Düsseldorf 2005, Bern 2011, for good 15 years till he had the chance of playing Leporello in 2013, Düsseldorf.
 
Guenes Guerle appeared in Grand Théâtre de Genève in June 2015 with Beethoven's Fidelio as Don Fernando(regie: Matthias Hartmann), later on with Berlioz' Les Troyens(with Charles Dutoit, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra) as Narbal and this January at Opera des Nations (Geneva) with Cavalli's Giasone (Con. Leonardo Alarcon) as Besso.
After a successful debut in Oslo, Den Norske Opera in May 2016 with Puccini's Turandot(regie:Andreas Homoki)as Timur, he is appearing with the same role in Düsseldorf(March/April2017).
The  highlights of 2017/18 were, Don Magnifico in Jean Pierre Ponelle's legendary Cenerentola in Düsseldorfrevival of Giasone in Opéra Royal de Versailles as Besso,
and Benjamin Britten's "a midsummer night's dream" as Theseus in Theater an der Wien. He then appeared in Grand Théâtre de Genève as Tom in Giancarlo del Monaco's staging of Ballo in Maschera June 2019.  In Oslo, Den Norske Opera as Dulcamara in Oliver Mears' L'elisir d'amore and Sparafucile in Ole Anders Tandberg's Rigoletto and in 2020 in Theater an der Wien as Palémon in Peter Konwitschny's staging of Thaïs.
